About

Michelle Schmitt is the principal of Maneto Mapping and Analysis. For over 10 years she has worked with nonprofits, local governments and small businesses to turn raw data into useful information. Michelle’s work is based in her belief that good maps are a powerful tool for seeing and understanding complicated patterns. Numbers and tables often alienate, but maps immediately draw people in.

Maneto Mapping and Analysis uses a variety of technologies to make  maps that are both beautiful and useful. Our recent projects use the Google Maps API, Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG), JavaScript and PHP.  Our interactive maps  look good and run smoothly across a variety of platforms, from desktop to mobile to tablet.

Michelle holds a Bachelor’s Degree from McGill University and Master’s Degree in Geography and Urban Studies from Temple University. Contact her at michelle.schmitt [at] gmail.com
